PCCC - Progressive Change Campaign Committee

Build a progressive DREAM TEAM in the House! (PCCC)

We are living in a special time when massive change is possible. In the House, we can usher in a wave of progressive superstars who will push the Democratic caucus to be tougher and better on climate, healthcare, financial regulation, racial equity, and many other progressive priorities.

If you want to see a progressive Dream Team, please consider chipping in to each of these candidates on this page. More on each candidate below.

Kara Eastman (NE-2) is one of the top House candidates in the nation and came within 1 point of defeating Republican incumbent Don Bacon in 2018, one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country. Polling in this toss-up race puts her 1 point ahead of Bacon. She’s fighting for Medicare for All, a Green New deal, and a $15 minimum wage. Kara is an alumna of the PCCC’s National Candidate Training.

Candace Valenzuela (TX-24) is running in one of the most flippable red-to-blue races in the country and polling has her up by 7 points. Candace is fighting for a Green New Deal, to protect Medicare and Social Security, improve public schools, expand family leave, and raise the minimum wage to $15/hour.

Mike Siegel (TX-10) came within 4 percentage points of defeating Republican incumbent Michael McCaul in 2018. Mike has fought Texas Republicans to demand gun reforms and sued the Secretary of State when Republicans shut down mobile voting sites. Mike is fighting for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, police reform, and Housing for All.

Dana Balter (NY-24) is in a dead-heat race against Republican incumbent John Katko -- one of just three House Republicans left in districts Hillary Clinton won. Dana is fighting for Medicare for All, to get big money out of politics, universal pre-K, and higher wages for workers.

Jon Hoadley (MI-06) is 4 points ahead in this red-to-blue race to unseat Republican incumbent Fred Upton -- one of the worst enemies of the environment in Congress. If elected, Jon would become the first openly LGBTQ member of the Michigan congressional delegation. He’s fighting for Medicare for All, expanding Social Security, and a Green New Deal.

Julie Oliver (TX-25) is only trailing her Republican incumbent opponent by 2 points in this swing district. Her bold platform includes Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, calling for an end to private prisons, and the cancellation of all student debt.

Pam Keith (FL-18) is the Black vet running to defeat Republican incumbent Rep. Brian Mast -- trailing him by only single digits in this toss-up race. She is running on a platform that includes Medicare for All, opposition to fracking and offshore drilling, student loan forgiveness for national service, and reforming veterans’ care. She is an alumna of the PCCC candidate training program.

Georgette Gómez (CA-53) is running for an open blue seat in this safe, deep blue district against Sara Jacobs, a billionaire heiress. If elected, Georgette would become the first LGBTQ Latina in Congress. Georgette is fighting for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, affordable housing, and investing in infrastructure.

Beth Doglio (WA-10) is a long-time environmental activist running for an open blue seat in one of the most competitive congressional races in Washington state in 2020. Beth is leading in fundraising. If elected, she’d become the first openly LGTBQ person to represent Washington in Congress. Beth is fighting for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and permanent federal funding for affordable housing.

J.D. Scholten (IA-4) came 3 points from toppling white nationalist Republican Rep. Steve King in 2018, outraising King 2:1 in a district Trump carried by 27%. This is one of the top Red to Blue pickup opportunities in the nation. J.D. is ahead in fundraising. J.D. is fighting for a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, building a new rural economy, and raising the minimum wage. J.D. attended the PCCC’s National Candidate Training.

Cathy Kunkel (WV-02) is the energy policy expert running to unseat Tea Party Republican incumbent Rep. Alex Mooney. Cathy's progressive platform includes fighting for a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, $15/hour minimum wage, universal child care, and forgiving student loan debt.
