Senator Ron Wyden’s billionaires income tax would close the “buy, borrow, die” loophole that allows billionaires to avoid paying their fair share in taxes just like the rest of us do.
This proposal would apply to only about 700 of the wealthiest people in America -- but it would raise hundreds of billions of dollars, which could be used to help shore up funding for vital programs like Social Security and Medicare.
