UPDATE: CNN reports President Obama will nominate Max Baucus to be the next ambassador to China. Governor Steve Bullock will soon have to make a decision: Who should replace Max Baucus as interim Senator of Montana?
Some news reports say Bullock is considering former Baucus Chief of Staff Jim Messina, who has a history of cozying up to corporate and insurance lobbyists. Instead, Bullock should choose a progressive who could represent Montana well starting Day One.
Tell Gov. Bullock: Montana deserves a populist, progressive senator who will fight for everyday families. Please appoint someone like former Gov. Brian Schweitzer, former U.S. Rep. Pat Williams, or former state senator Carol Williams.
