Across the country, Republican state lawmakers have introduced over 360 Jim Crow-style voter suppression bills to disenfranchise millions of poor and minority voters -- mostly Democrats. They've already passed laws making it harder to vote in Georgia, Florida, Iowa. Texas, Ohio, Michigan, and Arizona are not far behind.

The For The People Act is a sweeping bill that would override racist, state-level voter suppression laws and crack down on partisan gerrymandering and the outsized impact of big money in politics. It will modernize our voting systems and dismantle barriers erected to keep Black, Indigenous, young, and new Americans from voting.
