Tuesday's press conference at the George Washington Bridge with victims of the Christie admin's lane closures was a great success!
STAR-LEDGER: The group that organized the event... the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, created a website: ChristieResign.com where they said 13,000 people had signed an online petition calling for the Republican governor's resignation if it’s revealed that he knew about the closures ahead of time. The New Jersey Working Families Alliance, a labor, environmental and community group, also took part in the event.
NEWS 12 NEW JERSEY: "Every morning that week, we were paralyzed by cars, trucks," says Robert Tessaro, of Fort Lee. "Emergency vehicles couldn't get through. We couldn't get our daughter to day care."
Continue the momentum as we plan more activism. Sign our petition on the right!
The role of government is to help people -- but Gov. Chris Christie's administration used it to attack people. If Christie was directly involved in an abuse of power, he must resign.
We will keep the media informed of our growing progress.
